Vows in the Heart of Pontefract
After a couple of years together, Jade and Stephanie got engaged and chose Pontefract Town Hall for their wedding — a Grade II listed building right in the heart of Pontefract’s historic market place, and one of the most striking wedding venues in the area. Inside, the Nelson Room even carries a genuine piece of history: its plaster cast frieze was used in the making of Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square, giving the room a real sense of occasion before a single guest has taken their seat.
Family and friends gathered for a 2pm ceremony on a gorgeous July day, the sun out and the flowers in full bloom. It was a day full of joy and, as these days often are, more than a few happy tears too — the room packed with the people who mattered most to Jade and Stephanie, all there to see them say “I do.”
