Black Hat Photography is just me: no studio, no team of second shooters. The person you chat to when you enquire is the person behind the camera on your wedding day.
I photograph what actually happens, not a list of staged poses. The nerves before the ceremony, the vows, the speeches, the dancing. When we do need group photos, I keep them quick and organised so you can get back to your guests.
Whether you’re marrying in Wakefield or further afield in Leeds, Pontefract or Castleford, my approach is the same.

From first message to final gallery
Check your date
Send me your date and venue. I’ll tell you straight away if I’m free, with no obligation.
Coffee and a plan
Six to eight weeks before, we meet for a coffee to talk through the day, the shots you want and the people who matter. I turn it into a battle plan.
Venue visit
The week before, I visit your venue to find the best backdrops, light and viewpoints for your timings.
Your wedding
I photograph the day as it happens, then carefully edit the best images in all three styles.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Wakefield?
My packages start at £500 for three hours (Silver), £800 for the full day (Gold) and £1,495 for Platinum with an album, frame and engagement shoot.
Will you be our photographer on the day?
Yes, always. Black Hat Photography is just me, so the person you meet is the person who photographs your wedding.
How many photos do we get?
200, 300 or 700 images depending on the package, each delivered in three edit styles.
Which areas do you cover?
Wakefield and the whole district, plus Leeds, Barnsley, Huddersfield and across Yorkshire.
