Horbury
Horbury Wedding Photographer
Wedding photography for Horbury couples from a local photographer who lives a few minutes away, between Horbury and the city.

A Horbury wedding, photographed by a neighbour
Horbury sits between Wakefield and Ossett, and it’s about as close to home as weddings get for me. It’s a small town with a big sense of community, the kind of place where half the guests went to school together and the other half live on the same street.
St Peter’s Church
If you’re marrying at St Peter’s, you’re in for a treat. The Georgian church was designed by John Carr, the famous Yorkshire architect who was born in Horbury, and its columns and tall windows give a ceremony real grandeur. Churches like this need a careful approach: no flash, no wandering about during the vows, and a quick word with the vicar beforehand about where I can stand.

Receptions close by
Many Horbury couples celebrate within a few miles. Dimple Well Lodge in Ossett is just up the road, and The Holmfield Arms on Lowe Hill is a short drive across the city. I’ve photographed real weddings at both, so I already know where the light falls and where the best portrait spots are.
How I’ll photograph your day
We’ll start with a coffee and a chat about the people and moments that matter. I visit your church and venue the week before, then on the day I photograph things as they happen. You’ll get every chosen image in three edits: Timeless Black & White, Bedford 1940 Film and Wild Thing.
Nearby: Ossett, Sandal and the city itself. Working to a budget? Read about affordable wedding photography, or see my main Wakefield wedding photographer page.
