Photographer’s notes: Dimple Well Lodge
Venue at a glance
- Where: Ossett, between Wakefield and Dewsbury
- Style: Victorian manor turned boutique venue
- Feel: Intimate, with ivy-clad walls and gardens
- Real wedding: Lorraine & Mick
Dimple Well Lodge is tucked away and easy to miss, which is half its charm. Once you’re through the gate, the ivy-covered walls and gardens feel like a secret garden, and it’s a lovely size for a wedding where you know everyone.
Best photo spots: the ivy-draped arch for framed couple portraits, the garden archways for a walking shot, and the red phone box for something a bit fun.
My tip: because the venue is intimate, group photos go quickly here. Give me a list of family groups and we’ll be done in fifteen minutes.
