Leeds Wedding Photographer
Documentary wedding photography across Leeds, from city-centre halls to country hotels, by a photographer twenty minutes down the road in Wakefield.

Real Leeds weddings
Leeds has every kind of wedding: industrial-chic city venues, Victorian civic buildings, golf clubs and country hotels on the edge of the Dales. I’ve photographed several of them, and each one is on the site in full:
- New Craven Hall — Adam & Laura
- The Irish Centre, Leeds — Dean & Damon, after a ceremony in York
- Leeds & Garforth — Amber & Scott

Working in city venues
City weddings move fast. Rooms change over between the ceremony and the meal, light can be mixed and dim, and outdoor space is often limited. I visit every venue the week before, so I already know which window gives the softest light, where the group shots will work, and whether there’s a quiet corner for portraits away from the crowd.
Portraits around Leeds
For a few minutes away from the party, Leeds has lots of options: the Victorian arcades and Corn Exchange for something urban, Roundhay Park and its lakes for greenery, or the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey for a timeless backdrop. If time is tight, I’ll find somewhere at your venue instead.
Planning a Leeds wedding?
My blog post on five wedding venues in Leeds is a good starting point. When you’ve chosen, I’ll help you build a timeline that leaves room for photos without rushing the day.
The Gold package (£800) covers the whole day, from getting ready to the first dance, with 900 edited images. See all packages.
Getting ready in the city
Plenty of Leeds couples get ready in a city hotel before heading to the venue. Hotel rooms can be small and dark, so pick the room with the biggest window if you can, and keep one corner clear of bags and clutter. I’ll work with whatever light there is, but a bright window makes morning photos look fantastic.
Two venues, one day
Leeds weddings often involve a ceremony in one place and a reception in another, sometimes even in a different city. Dean and Damon married in York and partied in Leeds. I’ll plan the travel, the timings and the portraits so nothing gets squeezed, and I’ll be at the reception ready before you walk in.
